September 2017/Issue 78
There’s still a good chunk of 2017 left, and a few months to go before we dish out our awards for the finest gadgetry of the year, but the tech pickings so far have been richer and more varied than a cruise ship dessert buffet.
Our 100 Greatest Gadgets feature (p44) covers the best of it, from unmissable (and affordable) mobile games and a sub-R200 computer, to the sort of gear only oligarchs can afford (or have big enough houses for).
Of course, with the next iPhone and Samsung’s new Note phablet arriving any day now, it’s anybody’s guess what we’ll be coveting most when the festive season rolls around. How will you know which devices are most deserving of your end-of-year bonus? By subscribing to Stuff, (p39) of course. Plus, subscribe to the print or digital editions this month and you’ll get a free 12-month subscription to JOOX VIP music streaming service.
But wait – as they say – there’s more. We’ve also got reviews of the Nintendo 2DS XL (p71), the updated Samsung Gear 360 (p74), the refreshed MacBook Pro (p84), Microsoft’s Surface Laptop, and a gadget we’d love to see in our backpacks – but not in our bathrooms – the DJI Spark (p82).
Until next month, don’t click any dodgy links, don’t pull your chargers out by their cables, and don’t let your apps update using mobile data.
